Skiing – Deep snow skiing from the front door
Whether you prefer powder, corn snow or normal snow – in the extensive skiing area of Hochgurgl/Obergurgl beginners and professionals alike will find what they are looking for. From November up to the beginning of May you can put on your skis and set off directly from the front door. 23 Modern and comfortable lifts transport you to the top without waiting periods. Spectacular views make the journey something special.
Snowboarding
Boredom is impossible Garantiert keine Langweile kommt auf im Snowboard-Park am Festkogel mit Half- und Quarterpipe und in Hochgurgl mit Halfpipe. Snowboarder können sich dort so richtig austoben und zu „Überfliegern“ werden. Entsprechende Kurse werden in Hoch- und Obergurgl angeboten.
Different runs
Whoever wants to leave his tracks in the fresh, loose snow powder can find quiet untouched areas off the marked slopes. According to ability, there is enough opportunity for extra tours, from broad slightly steep hangs to steep mogul pistes.
Cross-country skiing
There are approximately 10 kilometers of cross-country trails around Obergurgl-Hochgurgl. The 2 km long high-altitude trail in Hochgurgl promises a marvelous view. Cross-country ski courses can be booked in the ski schools.
Ski huts – Take a break
A stop-over in the cosy ski huts is always worthwhile. Here you can find Austrian cuisine, something special from the champagne bar or a quick snack in the self-service restaurants. You can also enjoy fruit schnapps, Jagatee or mulled wine accompanied by disco music in any of the numerous snow bars.
